About the Role:As a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Services at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a critical role in supporting a rapidly growing cardiovascular service line. This position provides dedicated nursing coverage for cardiac stress testing, pacemaker and defibrillator clinics, and remote cardiac monitoring services. You will work closely with cardiology providers and a highly specialized nursing team to ensure timely access to testing, continuity of rhythm management, and an excellent patient experience.
Cardiac Services has experienced significant growth over the past year, including expanded remote monitoring volumes and increased demand for diagnostic testing. To support this growth and maintain fast access to care, this role is part of a self-contained nursing team that collaboratively covers stress testing, device clinics, and remote monitoring workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:Provide nursing coverage for cardiac stress testing, including patient preparation, monitoring, and post-test care, supporting two stress testing rooms that operate simultaneously. Assist with pacemaker, defibrillator, and loop recorder clinics, including in-person and remote cardiac device monitoring. Monitor patients during testing and procedures, identify and escalate abnormal findings, and ensure patient safety throughout the visit.
Coordinate care with cardiology providers, imaging, and support teams to maintain efficient clinic flow. Educate patients on cardiac testing, device management, and follow-up care. Accurately document assessments, test results, and care coordination in the electronic medical record. Participate in remote monitoring workflows that support a growing patient population and improve access to rhythm management services. Collaborate within a cross-trained nursing team to ensure coverage during time off and maintain uninterrupted service delivery. Perform other duties as assigned to support cardiac services operations.

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
Previous experience in cardiology, stress testing, cardiac monitoring, or procedural nursing preferred
Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently in a specialized clinical setting
Ability to function as part of a self-contained, cross-trained team and provide mutual coverage as needed
