Job Title: RF Antenna Engineer
Job Description

The RF Antenna Engineer will collaborate with Electrical Design Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineers, and Drafters to develop and support aviation antennas.

Responsibilities

  • Design, model, simulate, prototype, and test aviation antennas in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band, including patch antennas, slot antennas, conformal antennas, and antenna arrays.
  • Perform RF circuit design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of components and subsystems, such as antennas, LNA, Power Amps, filters, and combiners in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band.
  • Conduct RF 3D modeling, circuit layout, and drafting.
  • Perform circuit analysis using computer-aided tools.
  • Additional responsibilities as they become necessary.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in RF design, simulation, and EMW (Electromagnetic Wave) knowledge.
  • Proficiency in EM simulation and RF passive components or antenna design.
  • Knowledge of different antennas.
  • Experience with network and spectrum analyzers, and electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with monopole, dipole, and patch antennas.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Experience in design and testing of Antennas and RF/Microwave components or subsystems.
  • Knowledge of basic antenna design theory, behavior, and fundamentals.
  • Experience with EM simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of RF/Microwave passive and active components.
  • Proficiency with RF/Microwave laboratory test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Noise Figure Meters.
  • Soldering and circuit construction skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of staff and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment

The position is based in an office environment, providing a small company feel with the backing of a large corporation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chatsworth, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr.
