We are seeking a Staff Accountant and Analyst with retail accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial acumen experience to join the Love from USA Family in Shoreview!

Schedule:

This is a FT, Non- Exempt Position, In-Person, with working hours of M-F, generally working business hours. This position does provide flexible working hours, and WHF 1 day a week!

Responsibilities

There is Growth Potential with this position!!

As a key member of the Accounting and Finance department this individual will

  • Coordinate and perform accounting, financial reporting and analytical functions
  • Preparing financial reports, account reconciliations and sales tax returns
  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Building financial models
  • Creating financial budgets and forecasts, and conducting variance analysis to support management’s strategic decision-making.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize the company’s accounting systems and processes.
  • Supervise junior team members, plan their work and assign tasks.
  • Performing other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Assists Leadership with special projects as needed.

We are looking for an individual that takes initiative, is a problem-solver and can work collaboratively with department leaders. The individual in this position will mentor, help develop and oversee junior team members and reports to the Director of Accounting and Finance.

Education and Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred; minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Accounting certifications a plus
  • Proficiency in CounterPoint POS software — required
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software — required
  • Strong data analytics skills: ability to analyze complex datasets including internal CounterPoint reports, sales tax data, financial information, and venue/industry-specific metrics
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies as applied to finance, accounting, or data analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of ERP software platforms
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience preferred; 1 year of financial analysis experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with department heads and leadership
