Position Purpose The Retail Integrity Manager is responsible for ensuring all store scanning and pricing operations comply with the Company’s Scan and Scale Accuracy Policy to protect retail integrity across the division. This role leads and mentors Assistant Retail Integrity Managers to strengthen operational excellence across all departments, driving compliance, accuracy, customer trust, sales, and profitability. The position ensures adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and retail integrity programs while supporting customer service initiatives through consistent execution.
Key Responsibilities Retail Integrity & Compliance Leadership
- Ensure all scanning and pricing operational procedures comply with the Company’s Scan and Scale Accuracy Policy across all stores
- Lead execution of retail integrity programs in accordance with Store Support Center and Front End Operations guidelines
- Manage compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal retail pricing regulations
- Ensure corrective action and documentation are completed for all Weights and Measures compliance audits
Customer Service & Operational Excellence
- Lead and support divisional customer service initiatives related to retail integrity
- Communicate corporate marketing, promotional, and pricing programs to store front‑end teams
- Support consistent execution of promotions and advertising with minimal store‑level intervention
- Resolve customer pricing and scanning concerns in compliance with Customer Call Center standards
Training, Coaching & Mentorship
- Mentor Assistant Retail Integrity Managers to train all store departments on retail integrity standards
- Coach and develop Assistant Retail Integrity Manager trainees and identify qualified Lead Scan Coordinators
- Deliver training and program communication related to pricing and compliance requirements, including:
- Weights & Measures
- WIC and Food Stamp programs
- Controlled substances
- Age‑restricted sales
- Tax laws and exemptions
Process & Program Management
- Coordinate retail integrity initiatives through Assistant Retail Integrity Managers and the Area Retail Integrity Lead Program
- Partner with Category Management teams to support divisional execution and store‑level compliance
- Manage quality control processes supporting promotional and ad pricing accuracy
- Coordinate with IT Service Managers and Installation Services teams regarding store system installations and upgrades
Reporting, Metrics & Analysis
- Monitor the impact of retail integrity on company profitability using POS systems, host pricing files, and marketing analytics tools
- Publish retail integrity compliance metrics weekly for divisional and corporate leadership
- Review audit results with divisional leadership and recommend corrective actions requiring approval
- Focus on cost control through maintenance contracts and scan‑related invoicing
Collaboration & Corporate Partnerships
- Partner with Front End Systems, Operations, and other corporate functional areas to support retail integrity programs
- Stay current on tax law changes, including special holiday exemptions, and ensure effective communication and execution in stores
Knowledge & Experience Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of retail store operations experience preferred
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in retail operations with strong knowledge of scan coordination and pricing accuracy
- Prior experience with retail scanning systems or scanning service organizations preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Point‑of‑Sale systems, pricing files, and retail applications
- Working knowledge of company scanning, price maintenance systems, and audit processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including group presentations and training delivery
- Strong leadership, coaching, and performance‑management skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet‑based tools
Travel Requirements - Approximately 50% travel within the division
Working Conditions - Primary work is performed in a temperature‑controlled office environment
- Extended periods of sitting, working at a computer, and use of office equipment
- Occasional bending, reaching, twisting, and movement required during store visits
