As a vital member of the resort's retail team, the Boutique Clerk plays a central role in providing exceptional customer service within the resort's boutique. Responsible for assisting guests, the Boutique Clerk greets customers, offers product information, and facilitates sales transactions with a keen focus on meeting customer needs. They maintain an organized and visually appealing boutique, restocking inventory, and ensuring that the shop's ambiance aligns with the resort's standards. The Boutique Clerk's role involves processing purchases, handling inquiries, and creating a positive shopping experience for guests. Strong interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and a customer-oriented approach are fundamental to ensuring a pleasurable and memorable shopping experience within the resort's boutique.

Essential job FUNCTIONS:

· Greeting and assisting customers, providing information about products, assisting with inquiries, and offering recommendations or suggestions based on customer needs.

· Processing sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, or other payment methods. Operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.

· Restocking shelves and ensuring merchandise displays are visually appealing. Monitoring inventory levels, performing stock checks, and informing management of inventory needs or discrepancies.

· Acquiring and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the boutique's merchandise, including features, prices, and benefits. Providing information to customers about various products and suggesting complementary items.

· Keeping the boutique organized, clean, and visually attractive. This includes ensuring cleanliness, arranging displays, and keeping the space well-maintained.

· Engaging with guests, establishing a rapport, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Proactively offering assistance, addressing customer concerns, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere within the boutique.

· Collaborating with other staff members, management, and vendors to ensure a smooth operation within the boutique. Communicating effectively with other departments and teams as needed.

· Adhering to company policies, procedures, and security protocols. Ensuring all sales are conducted according to the resort's guidelines, and maintaining a secure and safe shopping environment for customers.

· The colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional coursework or certifications in retail, customer service, or related fields can be advantageous but are not always mandatory.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous Hotel or Resort experience desired.

Job REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Project and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work flexible days/hours

Must be able to lift 20 pounds or more.
