Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).

  • Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Ventilator Management, BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management, Nebulizer (Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar), High Flow Nasal Cancula (HFNC), Trauma.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Teaching Hospital Experience
  • Neonates, Infants
  • NICU, Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Theophylline, Assist in high risk delivery, Umbilical blood gases, Basic EKG, High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, Direct Intubation, Bronchoscopes.

Special Requests:

  • Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
  • RTO: *Anything more than 5 Days will potentially delay your offer while we run approval by the client. To minimize turn around, please limit total RTO requests.
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD)

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend REQ: Yes
  • Call Required: No
  • Traveler can be called off for 1 shift per 2 week period

Floating Requirements:

  • Candidates may be asked to float within hospital or to a sister hospital nearby.
  • ALL travelers are expected to float. Travelers regularly float between various like units, within skill set

5 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
