Day ShiftDescription:Position Purpose
The Respiratory Educator (RE) utilizes innovation, flexible solutions, evidence-based practice, and effective operations for establishing an environment that transforms professional growth, role competence, and proficiency in team members specialty.
What you will do
Develops innovative learning approaches for coordination, facilitation, conduction, and evaluation of orientation, competency, and in-service programs
Create and implement continuing education based on needs assessment
Provide education/training on all new equipment and validates each staff member on use
Participate in the development of specialty and generic Respiratory policies/procedures
Collaborate with hospital-based education specialist for organizational needs and support
Mentor team members to focus on professional growth and development
During times of no scheduled education and training or as operational needs requires, The RT educator may perform normal duties as a staff RT
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in respiratory therapy program and Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in all aspects of Respiratory Care
Prior teaching experience preferred
NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required
Demonstrated project management experience required
