Research Scientist - Otorhinolaryngology, H&N Surgery lab
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist (PhD or MD) to join a growing translational research program focused on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and airway-related pathophysiology. The lab integrates animal models, neuroscience, and immunologic approaches to study mechanisms of sleep-disordered breathing and tissue remodeling.
This position offers the opportunity to work on novel animal models, including innovative platforms to study airway injury and repair, with strong potential for high-impact publications and career development.
As needed, may serve as backup in contacting clinical study participants.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Generate animal models; design and conduct animal experiments.
Conduct molecular and cellular assays including PCR/qPCR, Western blotting, flow cytometry, and cell culture
Participate in experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation
Contribute to ongoing translational and collaborative projects across disciplines (basic neuroscience, ENT, Neurology, Pulmonary Medicine)
