Job Title: Research Associate (Lentiviral Analytics)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Duration: 1 year Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to support analytical testing for lentiviral vector programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment. The role is highly lab-focused and requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform release, characterization, and stability testing of lentiviral products
- Execute laboratory assays including:
- Western Blot
- ELISA / AlphaLISA
- PCR-based methods (qPCR/ddPCR)
- Flow Cytometry
- Cell-based viral titration and particle analysis
- Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data
- Prepare protocols, reports, and presentations
- Support development of innovative methods to assess product strength, purity, safety, and identity
- Collaborate with internal teams to support process development and discovery efforts
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant lab experience
- Strong hands-on experience in molecular and/or cell-based assays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with viral vectors or lentivirus
- Hands-on experience with qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, or Western blot
- Exposure to GLP and/or cGMP environments
- Strong troubleshooting and experimental design skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Highly organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Work Environment
- Fully onsite role (5 days/week) in Philadelphia, PA
- Lab-based, collaborative, and timeline-driven environment
