Research Assistant -Ph.D. candidate)- (f/m/d) in the field of Life Sciences (cardiac metabolism)Operational area: Department of Cardiology, Angiology, and Internal Medicine Intensive Care (Medical Clinic I) -experimental Cardiology - research group AG Möllmann/Prof. N. MarxWorking hours: 65% (25,03 hours/week) of the full working hours in the collective agreement (currently 38.5 hours/week)Our research group comprises basic scientists and practising cardiologists, facilitating the integration of basic and clinical research. Our research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying various cardiac disease models and to investigate the roles of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), as well as SGLT2 inhibitors. We also investigate the development of cross-organ processes (organ crosstalk) in multimorbidities such as diabetes and kidney disease, and in cardiovascular diseases. Our research encompasses cell culture studies and studies in mice. We are always focused on the potential translation of new research findings into clinical practice, particularly with regard to improving therapeutic interventions for patients.
