About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Registered Nurse – Infusion Services (RN Infusion) to join our clinical team in Springfield, Oregon. In this role, you will provide safe, high‑quality infusion therapy and direct patient care while collaborating closely with providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is based in a clinical setting with no weekend, holiday, travel, or home‑based care requirements.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves a combination of direct patient care, clinical decision-making, documentation, and coordination of care. Daily responsibilities include:
Administer prescribed infusion and injectable therapies in accordance with provider orders, clinical protocols, and patient-specific needs
Review, analyze, and interpret patient medical histories, laboratory results, and other clinical data to support safe and effective dosing
Select and follow appropriate dosing protocols based on provider orders and established clinical guidelines
Identify patient conditions, symptoms, or laboratory findings that require provider notification or referral, and communicate findings promptly to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) or attending physician
Triage patient concerns during clinic visits and via telephone, recognizing urgent or atypical responses to medications and escalating care when necessary
Monitor patients for adverse reactions, including signs and symptoms of gastrointestinal (GI) or genitourinary (GU) bleeding, and initiate appropriate referrals based on urgency
Arrange and coordinate patient follow-up care for identified clinical issues
Determine frequency of patient visits based on clinical assessment, dosing recommendations, and laboratory test results
Provide patient education regarding therapies, potential side effects, and care plans; assess the need for interdisciplinary services when appropriate
Accurately document all medication administrations, patient reactions, assessments, communications, and return visits in the clinic chart
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to remain current with evidence-based healthcare practices
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon
IV therapy experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training available if not currently certified)
Ability to comply with all clinical, safety, and documentation standards
Preferred Qualifications
Previous hospital nursing or infusion nursing experience
Strong IV initiation and maintenance skills
Experience providing direct patient care in a clinical or ambulatory setting
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
Work Environment & Schedule
Clinical setting (no home health or travel required)
Single location; no floating between sites
Scrubs required (standard scrub attire)
No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts
