Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). As a nurse in the IMCU, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing support. You’ll play an essential role in monitoring complex conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring a smooth transition for patients between critical care and general medical-surgical units.

Sign on bonus - Up to $15,000. Relocation assistance may also be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

  • Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions.

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Provide patient and family education to support recovery and ongoing health.

  • Maintain safety, quality, and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact state).

  • BSN or MSN preferred.

  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

  • ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire.

  • Prior intermediate or critical care experience preferred.
