Responsibilities
As an Englewood RN, you play a crucial role in ensuring residents receive high‑quality, compassionate care across our skilled nursing, memory care, and rehabilitation environments. Working 12‑hour shifts as part of a strong, collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:
Direct Resident Care & Assessment - Provide daily nursing care, health monitoring, safety oversight, and overall comfort to each resident.
- Complete professional nursing assessments, document resident conditions, and assist in managing assigned units and staff.
- Make routine and periodic resident visits, carefully observing and documenting physical and mental status changes.
Care Planning & Clinical Documentation - Participate in developing and implementing individualized resident care plans.
- Maintain up‑to‑date nursing care plans, document progress, and recommend necessary revisions to MDS‑related care plans.
- Maintain accurate resident medical records, ensuring all documentation—including 24‑hour reports, end‑of‑shift reports, and medication records—is complete and compliant.
- Perform narcotic shift counts and document destruction of outdated or discontinued medications.
Family, Physician & Team Collaboration - Communicate effectively with physicians to support ongoing medical needs and care decisions.
- Work closely with families, offering guidance, updates, and emotional support.
- Provide leadership to CNAs and other team members while assisting with daily care coordination on your assigned unit.
Emotional Support & Issue Resolution - Offer compassionate emotional support to residents and families.
- Respond professionally to resident or visitor complaints, concerns, accidents, or incidents to help maintain a positive and supportive environment.
Nursing Practice & Procedures - Perform routine nursing procedures in alignment with physician orders and facility protocols.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
- Basic Computer knowledge and skills.
- A passion for caring for people.
- Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully withresidents, family members, visitors, government agencies and other personnel.
- The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines.
