As a member of the perioperative team, you will collaborate with Physicians, CRNAs, Surgical Technologists and other professionals to deliver high-quality care before, during and after surgery.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Interviewing and assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial and holistic needs to plan, implement and evaluate patient-focused care.
  • Reviewing surgeons’ pre-requisites and test results, communicating abnormalities and/or omissions to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborating and coordinating care with other health care team members to promote quality outcomes.
  • Utilizing nursing processes to identify individual patient needs, including education and care planning.
  • Adapting calmly to unexpected events such as emergency surgeries, changes in patient condition or equipment issues.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete perioperative documentation in alignment with Perioperative Outcomes Standards.
     

Schedule: 

  • Full-time | 72-80 hours every two weeks | Plaza Surgery Center 
  • Monday – Friday | Various 8 – 10-hour shifts between 5:00am – 7:00pm 
  • No weekends or holidays!
     

Pay and Benefits 

  • Pay based on experience and degree 
    • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $41.34 per hour
    • Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $42.37 per hour
    • Master’s in nursing starting at $43.43 per hour
      • Pay range: $41.34 - $62.01 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a nursing program, Bachelor’s or Master’s in nursing preferred
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing required within 3 years of hire
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota 
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification 
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification 
  • Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics
  • National Certification in a Nursing Specialty preferred 
  • Previous experience in perioperative or surgical departments preferred
