Pay Range: $45/hr - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), schedule varies
- Duration: 13 weeks (05/18/2026 – 08/15/2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
- On-Call: No
- Manage care for an assigned group of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries (joint replacements, fracture repairs, spine surgeries, etc.)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on individual patient needs
- Administer medications including pain management, IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and other acute medications
- Monitor patients for post-operative complications including infection, blood clots, and pain
- Assist with patient mobilization, fall prevention, and use of assistive devices
- Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists for patient rehabilitation
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medication management, and discharge planning
- Perform NIH stroke scale assessments as required
- Document all care accurately in the EMR
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
- Work with a team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; Minimum 2 years of recent experience within MedSurg / Orthopedic specialty
- Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license
- AHA BLS certification
- NIH (National Institutes of Health) Stroke Scale certification
- Experience on an inpatient surgical unit with orthopedic patient population
- Strong medical-surgical assessment and patient care skills
- AHA ACLS certification
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license.
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within MedSurg / Orthopedic specialty
- Experience on an inpatient surgical unit – required
- Orthopedic post-operative care experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent pain management and post-operative care skills
- Effective communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency in medication administration and EMR documentation
