Overview

We are seeking anICURegistered Nurse, also referred to as an ICU RN, Intensive CareNurseor Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) willberesponsible forproviding intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. TheICU RN will haveadvanced skills in critical care settings,makequick decisions, andwill becompassionateto allpatients. An ICU RNmonitorsvital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team tomodifycare plans accordingly.This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRNas needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions
  • Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters
  • Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closelymonitoringpatient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions
  • Managelife-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided
  • Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorouslymaintaininginfection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
