Schedule: Day shift| 7am to 7:30pm| Week-end and holiday requirements.
How you'll make an impact in this role
Staff Oversight and Direction: Provide direct supervision and leadership to all nursing and support staff. This involves setting clear expectations, appropriate delegation, continuous coaching, and monitoring performance and productivity for efficiency and safety.
Performance Management and Development: Lead or participate in formal staff performance evaluations, including objective data gathering, constructive feedback, goal setting, and documentation to maintain a high-performing team.
Patient Care Planning and Assignment: Daily assessment of patient needs (acuity, interventions, discharge status) to develop, communicate, and distribute equitable and appropriate patient care assignments, matching care level to staff competency for safe coverage.
Quality Assurance and Outcome Analysis: Continuously evaluate care effectiveness. Proactively identify and investigate factors impacting desired patient outcomes (e.g., readmissions, infections). Initiate and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Service Recovery and Complaint Resolution: Serve as the primary manager for patient and family complaints. Respond urgently and professionally, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution per policy, and comprehensively documenting all actions.
Human Resources Management Support (as needed): Assist in the talent lifecycle, including recruitment, interviewing, new-hire orientation, ongoing staff development, formal direction, and contributing to performance evaluations.
