Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse 3to join our team! We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians.

This Registered Nurse 3 Position is located in the Medicine Unit and providesprofessional nursing services and serves as a lead worker to lower level professional nurses and paraprofessionals.The work schedule will be determined by the Department Manager. Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

Two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A bachelor's degree in nursing plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A master's degree in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A doctorate in nursing or public health.

  • Serve as a charge nurse, providing clinical leadership, unit coordination, and support to nursing staff.
  • Deliver direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, ongoing reassessments, and continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care.
  • Identify patient care needs, develop and adjust care and teaching plans, and coordinate discharge planning and post-hospital referrals.
  • Precept nursing students, train charge nurses, and orient new staff, including education on equipment and unit procedures.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes, and communicate critical information during shift handoffs.
  • Monitor patient condition and safety, promptly reporting changes and adhering to infection control and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in staff development, quality improvement activities, required trainings, and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements

Work Hours:The work schedule will be determined by the Department Manager.
Compensation: Base Pay: $30 per hour
Thisposition is entitled to Shift Differential Rates for when actually working:
Shift 2-$3.00 Shift 3:$4.60 Weekend:$4.60 Holiday:$4.60 and certification Pay: up to$3/hour

Additional Certifications Needed Before Appointment:ACLS, BLS and PALS (American Heart Association).
