Overview

We’re seeking a compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary hospice team, supporting patients in our Hospice House and community-based settings. This is a meaningful opportunity to practice truly patient-centered care.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide nutritional assessments, education, and consultation for hospice and home care patients

  • Conduct home visits and collaborate with nurses, social workers, and clinicians

  • Support kitchen oversight in our Hospice House, ensuring NYS food safety compliance

  • Educate staff and volunteers on therapeutic diets and safe food handling

  • Complete documentation within 24 hours

  • Participate in IDT and care management meetings

Position Details
  • Part-time: ~21–28 hours per week

  • Pay: $34–$46/hour (based on experience)

  • Field-based role with daily travel

What We’re Looking For
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) – Commission on Dietetic Registration

  • NYS Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN)

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

  • Comfortable working independently in the field
