Pediatric Dietitian – Esophageal & Airway Treatment Center

Temporary Position Through End of 2026 | Hybrid Onsite Schedule (3 Days/Week)

A highly specialized Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center is seeking an experienced Pediatric Dietitian to support infants, children, and young adults with complex esophageal and airway disorders. This temporary opportunity through the end of 2026 offers a unique blend of specialized patient care and general outpatient clinical exposure.

This role includes approximately 28 hours dedicated to patients with Esophageal Atresia (EA) and 12 hours supporting the open clinic population. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and have strong pediatric nutrition experience, preferably within aerodigestive or complex GI/pulmonary populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient nutrition care for pediatric patients with complex esophageal and airway conditions
  • Manage outpatient nutrition support for patients with:
  • Esophageal Atresia (EA)
  • Tracheomalacia
  • Vascular ring and compression disorders
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Assess medical, biochemical, and nutritional data to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
  • Support safe discharge planning through oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition management
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare staff on prescribed nutrition and diet plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects
  • Assist in the development and review of patient education materials
  • Provide weekend and holiday clinical nutrition coverage as scheduled
  • Support orientation and training of new dietitians when needed
  • Participate in speaking engagements, educational forums, and interdisciplinary collaboration initiatives

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics required

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Dietetics
  • At least 2 years of pediatric nutrition experience required
  • Aerodigestive or complex pediatric GI/pulmonary experience preferred

Certifications & Licensure

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Massachusetts Dietitian licensure required
