  • FPS is hiring for law enforcement jobs that have an exciting opportunity! Once onboarded, you may be assigned for up to one year to support the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force. The law enforcement component of the D.C. Task Force is a partnership of over 20 federal and local agencies working together to make D.C. the safest city in America. Once the assignment ends, you'll transition back to support FPS. Visit the D.C. Task Force page for more information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise in developing, maintaining and managing new and existing training programs that contribute to the effectiveness of law enforcement, criminal investigation, security programs, and mission support functions at both the regional and/or national level. Duties performed: Support the development, management or modification of program guidelines, policies and short/long-range plans and/or program goals that apply to employees, contractors and/or training operations throughout a Region. Conduct on-going analyses of training needs through employee performance appraisals, job performance observation, consultation with staff members/supervisors, evaluation testing, formal studies, surveys, or other research methods. Analyze law enforcement training programs to identify broad-based training needs; and evaluate/modify instructional program and course curriculum, content, and materials, and research procedural changes as mandated by new laws and regulations. Plan and conduct investigations in violations of Title 18, United States Code, including homicide, rape, robbery, burglary, sex offenses, bribery, the use, sale, and/or distribution of narcotics, organized crime and its effects on Federal property. Develop plans/recommendations that improve administration, management and operations of substantial regional training programs across a variety of skills sets and duties, including oversight/management of mandates and organizational requirements.
