Job Summary


A leading midstream energy company is seeking an experienced Regional Safety Manager to oversee health and safety planning, coordination, and execution across multiple pipeline construction projects. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving consistent safety performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting safe project delivery throughout the construction lifecycle. The Regional Safety Manager serves as a key advisor to project teams and provides strategic oversight of contractor safety programs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee health & safety planning, coordination, and execution for multiple pipeline construction projects across the region.
  • Review, provide feedback on, and ultimately approve all contractor Project Site Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Develop and implement construction safety strategies, resources, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective safety performance.
  • Manage safety staffing schedules and resource allocation across active projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with all company safety standards, contractor requirements, and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, project stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve safety issues and support safe project execution.
  • Review all contractor incidents, provide feedback, conduct thorough investigations when needed, and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Monitor safety performance across projects and drive continuous improvement in safety culture and practices.
  • Maintain quality control of safety programs and documentation throughout the construction process.
  • Assist project teams in completing projects safely, on time, and in accordance with company expectations.
  • Serve as a regional point of contact for safety-related matters and escalate critical issues to senior leadership as required.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • 8+ years of progressive safety management experience in pipeline construction, midstream, or heavy industrial construction.
  • Proven track record overseeing safety on multiple simultaneous construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, PHMSA requirements, and pipeline construction safety standards.
  • Experience reviewing and approving contractor Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and incident investigations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites and work effectively in a field environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 500, or equivalent) preferred.
