Work Type: Full-time, hybrid / in-office preferred
Compensation: $40,000 to $65,000/year base salary, plus performance bonus

Company Description
SoftDoes is a custom software development company based in Mission, Kansas. We build web applications, mobile apps, AI integrations, dashboards, automation systems, and custom software platforms for clients across healthcare, real estate, fintech, construction, and other business sectors.
We are a growing company with a strong technical delivery team, an established client base, and a need to build a stronger office team. We are now looking for a full-time Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us find, screen, and hire strong local candidates for sales, business development, office support, project coordination, and other operational roles as the company grows. This is not a resume-forwarding role. We are looking for someone who can help us build a better hiring process, filter candidates carefully, and reduce the time we spend on people who are not a real fit.
Role Description
We are looking for someone who is comfortable recruiting for a small but growing company where quality matters more than volume. You will be responsible for sourcing candidates, running first screening calls, checking compensation expectations, evaluating communication quality, coordinating interviews, managing test tasks when needed, and helping leadership make better hiring decisions.
This role is a strong fit for someone who can work independently, understands how to evaluate people beyond the resume, and knows how to build a clean candidate pipeline without flooding the company with unqualified applicants.
We are looking for someone with recruiting experience, ideally in sales, business development, customer-facing, admin, office-based, staffing, or small business hiring. You should be comfortable sourcing candidates, speaking with people directly, asking practical screening questions, and telling the difference between someone who interviews well and someone who can actually perform.
You do not need to have software industry recruiting experience, but you should be comfortable learning about our business and understanding what kind of people fit a fast-moving technology company.
What You’ll Do
In the first month, you will learn our business, understand the roles we are hiring for, review our current hiring needs, meet the leadership team, and help organize our recruiting process. You will begin sourcing local candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and creating a better system for tracking candidates and hiring decisions. Over the next few months, you will take more ownership of local hiring for our Mission office. You will help us improve job descriptions, build candidate pipelines, manage communication with applicants, organize test tasks, and make sure only qualified candidates are moved forward. Long term, you will help us create a repeatable hiring process, improve our employer brand, support office team growth, and potentially assist with identifying local companies that may need recruiting or hiring support.
Key Responsibilities
This Role Is Not a Fit If
You only forward resumes without screening candidates.
You prefer a highly structured corporate HR department.
You are uncomfortable working with a small and growing company.
You need every step of the process defined for you.
You are not comfortable speaking directly with candidates.
You do not like sourcing or outbound candidate outreach.
You measure success only by the number of candidates submitted, not by candidate quality.
To Apply
Please send a short message explaining your recruiting experience, the types of roles you have hired for, and how you would approach finding strong local candidates for a growing software company in Mission, Kansas.
