HWI has a temporary opportunity to join our Talent Acquisition Team as a Recruiter II. SummaryThe Recruiter develops recruiting and sourcing strategies to support the talent needs of the organization. This role is responsible for ownership of the entire recruiting function of the organization and continually finds opportunities for improvements. The Recruiter partners with hiring managers and key business leaders to ensure timely understanding of HarbisonWalker Internationals current and future talent needs and related recruiting demands. Responsibilities
Sourcing through media, technological and social solutions that support our talent acquisition strategy; responsible for public relations as well as branding and marketing in local communities and universities
Upholding metrics that evaluate all talent acquisition programs and initiatives across the organization; driving results, ensuring that staffing activity is meeting/exceeding client requirements
Conducting employment screening interviews for internal and external applicants, of all levels and types of positions, including management; realistically describe to applicants the responsibilities of any appropriate position
Building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts to gain knowledge and generate referrals and fill positions; overseeing compliance to all regulations that impact the hiring and selection process
Maintaining confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Building and providing oversight to an employee referral program; developing ways to engage employees to be our employment brand ambassadors
Representing HarbisonWalker International at external and internal functions; providing the public with information about HarbisonWalker International and career opportunities
Participating in projects for continuous improvement and the further development of talent acquisition strategies
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
MBA preferred
Knowledge of Federal, State and Provincial laws regarding HR issues and employment
Knowledge of employment, staffing and selection practices
Expertise and experience leveraging social media - idea/insight into attracting/retaining candidates
Experience working in a rapidly changing, complex environment
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal customers and Senior Management
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization, including presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization and to facilitate group discussions and serve as project lead as appropriate
Ability to plan own work, pay close attention to detail and handle multiple priorities
Ability to effectively market and promote the company in communities served
Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Oracle Cloud (or other HRIS system) knowledge
Lean and/or Six Sigma experience is a plus
The Recruiter requires two (2) – four (4) years of progressive recruiting experience both hourly and salaried roles (previous experience in agency preferred) along with the ability to develop external resource relationships and creative sourcing channels that drive high volume/high quality applicant flow, a proven track record in filling roles that span the organization with deadlines and goals and experience using talent metrics for continuous improvement.
