Job Description

Job Title: Security Coordinator

Pay: $22.00/hr

Position Summary
The Security Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and operational coordination of security-related functions within the building. This role is based in the security office and supports overall building operations by managing access control processes, vendor compliance, service logistics, and communication. This is a highly administrative position requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Monitoring Support

  • Monitor building camera systems and report any irregularities or concerns to management and/or security personnel.
  • Support access control operations by coordinating the registration of residents, vendors, and authorized third parties.
  • Maintain accurate records of all authorized individuals and ensure compliance with building policies.

Vendor & Insurance Coordination

  • Review and track vendor documentation, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and required compliance documents.
  • Ensure all vendors meet building requirements prior to being granted access.
  • Maintain organized records of all vendor-related documentation.

Third-Party Registration

  • Coordinate and register third-party staff including housekeeping, maintenance personnel, and property management teams.
  • Ensure all third parties are properly approved and documented prior to accessing the building.
  • Enforce service entrance and service elevator protocols.

Logistics & Operations Coordination

  • Oversee scheduling and coordination of the service elevator and loading dock.
  • Manage delivery logistics to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to residents.
  • Coordinate with residents, property managers, and vendors regarding move-ins, deliveries, and service requests.

Package Room & Resident Support

  • Oversee package handling procedures and ensure proper tracking and organization.
  • Manage lost and found items, maintaining accurate logs and coordinating return to residents.
  • Respond to resident inquiries related to deliveries, access, and general building procedures.

Communication

  • Handle incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Send out communications to residents, property managers, and vendors as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact between management, security personnel, and third parties.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (required)
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems (email, spreadsheets, property management systems such as BuildingLink preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce policies consistently
  • Prior experience in residential, hospitality, or property management environments preferred

Working Conditions & Schedule

  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Based in the security office with continuous exposure to camera monitoring systems
  • Interaction with residents, vendors, and staff on a daily basis
  • May require flexibility in schedule based on building operational needs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Experience/Knowledge with Receiving:
  • Previous experienced preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.
