Job Title: Receiving Associate

Job Description

A local manufacturer in Indianapolis is seeking a Receiving Associate for the 1st shift. This role involves working in a dynamic and growing environment, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments
  • Checking and verifying received materials against purchase orders or invoices
  • Storing received materials in proper locations
  • Kitting (picking and packing) orders accurately and efficiently for use in other departments, primarily the weld/fab department
  • Entering all parts receiving and moving into the computer system, which is EPICOR-based
  • Preparing and staging products for shipment
  • Conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling variances
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of inventory and dock areas
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts
  • Utilizing tablets and scanners for inventory management

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in computer skills related to inventory management
  • Experience as a Receiving Clerk or Material Handler
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, particularly EPICOR
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with RF scanners, BOM, kitting, and material handling
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
