Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Real Estate Attorney to join our team at a boutique commercial real estate settlement company in Leesburg, Virginia. Candidate will be dually employed at law firm as well as commercial real estate settlement company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to underwrite and close complex real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in real estate law with experience in underwriting title insurance coverage for complex commercial real estate transactions, and an ability to work and communicate with commercial clients, brokers, and counsel teams with poise, sophistication, efficiency, and a strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in Virginia. Active licenses to practice law in MD and DC a bonus.
• Licensed title producer in VA (or ability to obtain or reactivate license within 30 days). Active title producer licenses in MD and DC a plus.
• Proven experience in real estate law combined with familiarity with processing and closing complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Learning mindset.
• Excellent drafting and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Prior experience working in title insurance production, including complex commercial underwriting.
• Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
