Real Estate-Associate Asset Manager

We are currently looking for an asset management associate located in Brooklyn, NY.

The Associate will work closely with senior leadership on all facets of the Company’s self-storage investment business. This position offers potential candidates an opportunity to work at a Buy-Side firm that provides unparalleled experience and exposure from day one. The position offers an applicant the unique opportunity to be directly involved in evaluating and making principal investment decisions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly performance files comparing performance to investment expectations and evaluate potential upside opportunities
  • Assist in spreading and reviewing monthly property financials
  • Compiling monthly actionable report and determining resolution to drive operational efficiency at the asset level
  • Assist in annual budget process, including spreading budgets, analyzing growth trajectory, and annual meetings
  • Day-to-day portfolio management and communication with third-party managers
  • Underwrite, evaluate, and compile asset management committee memorandums for potential conversion and expansion opportunities throughout the existing portfolio
  • Work collaboratively with team members in various ad hoc tasks and analyses as needed
  • Manage AM functions on regionally allocation portion of portfolio
  • Assist in transition of acquisition properties from Investment team to Asset Management team
  • Supporting in acquisition and disposition due diligence
  • Handling information requests from lenders, insurers, and property managers


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Other relevant field
  • Around 4 years of experience working in asset or investment management
  • Previous experience in relevant real estate, finance, investments, operations or asset management work
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel including high level of competency with formulations, pivot tables and charts
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; demonstrated skill at identifying patterns and areas of improvement in data analysis
  • Detail-oriented, strong attention to detail without compromise of deadlines
  • Capacity to multi-task with relentless attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent people, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and with a successful track record of working in a team setting

Pay Range/Benefits:

Salary range between $100,000-$130,000. This may include benefits such as: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k), Vacation, PTO, Sick/Personal Time, and Holidays.
