Overview

We are seeking aRadiologic TechnologistI,internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I.The Rad Tech Iwill be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.An important roleinassistinghealthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

Shift Available: Evenings

Employment Type:Full-Time

Hours: 10-hour shifts

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols

• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed

• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations

• Maintainaccuraterecords of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history

• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology andparticipatein continuing education tomaintainlicensure and certification

• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images

• Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) andmaintainyour register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-R is required.
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Proficient computer skills.

Additional Qualifications That AreaPlus:

• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
