Location: Newtown, CT

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00–$26.00/hour

Work Setting: Lab, Cleanroom & Manufacturing Environment

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support quality engineering, inspection, and inventory control activities within a manufacturing and test environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, supporting root cause analysis, and maintaining accurate inventory and documentation. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections on products and materials, including packaging, labeling, cosmetic defects, and specification compliance
  • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, including GD&T symbols
  • Verify quantity, part numbers, and purchase orders on incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Coordinate with Warehouse to resolve delivery discrepancies
  • Log and track materials using Microsoft Excel and perform inventory transactions in SAP
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and physically manage inventory storage and movement
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities
  • Inspect repair documentation to determine status and appropriate material transfer
  • Communicate with Planning and Engineering regarding material availability and status
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles
  • Document inspection results and enter data into tracking databases
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of hands-on quality engineering, inspection, or testing experience
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Control principles
  • Ability to read prints and identify GD&T symbols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); experience with Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and documentation
  • Diploma, Certification, or Degree (Technical or Engineering preferred)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems
  • Knowledge of CMM programming
  • Experience using calipers and performing visual inspections
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with SharePoint
  • Root cause analysis methodologies
  • Parts inventory management experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
