Title: Quality Technician

Location: Medical Device Manufacturer (100% Onsite)

Hire Type: Contract

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $25.00–$32.00/hour (depending on experience)

Must Have Skill Set:


6+ months to 2+ years of quality technician, inspection, or manufacturing testing experience (medical device preferred)

Experience performing dimensional inspections and product testing during production

Hands-on experience with metrology and testing equipment (MicroVue, Benchmic, tensile tester, force gauge, calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Experience following GDP (Good Documentation Practices)

Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory, lot tracking, and production records

Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation

Overview:


We are seeking a Quality Technician to support product testing and inspection activities for a medical device manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on contract opportunity supporting a critical production project, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.


The ideal candidate will have experience performing in-process quality inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional product testing within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires strong documentation practices, comfort working in a cleanroom setting, and the ability to communicate testing progress and results with cross-functional teams.


Job Duties:

Perform product testing including tensile, dimensional, compression, and functional device testing

Utilize metrology and inspection equipment including MicroVue, Benchmic, tensile testers, force gauges, calipers, and similar tools

Record inspection and testing results accurately using company quality forms and documentation systems

Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain accurate, audit-ready records

Use ERP systems to locate lot numbers, inventory records, and production data

Follow established quality system procedures including SOPs, work instructions, and forms

Communicate daily testing status, findings, and results with quality, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams

Support in-process inspection and testing activities during active production

Maintain compliance with cleanroom gowning requirements, including adherence to contamination control protocols

Safely lift and move materials/products up to 40 lbs as needed

Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Manufacturing Technician, or related role

Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred

Hands-on experience measuring manufactured parts and interpreting inspection/test requirements

Familiarity with dimensional inspection methods and production quality testing

Experience working in cleanroom environments preferred

Basic ERP/MRP system experience preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production and quality teams

Ability to start immediately preferred
