Brief Description:
The Quality Support Technician reports directly to the Regional/Project Quality Supervisor. The Quality Control Support Technician provides administrative, technical, and field support to the Quality Control team to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. This role supports inspection activities, documentation control, material traceability, and overall execution of quality processes in both shop and field environments.

Per Diem:$35 - $70 per day ($210 - $420 per week)
Schedule: 5 days per week, 10 hours per day

Essential Job Functions:
- Assists QC Inspectors with daily inspection activities including visual inspections and documentation verification
- Support pressure testing activities including setup verification and documentation
- Verify materials are properly identified and traceable prior to installation
- Ensure required hold points are met and documented in accordance with ITPs
- Participate in walkdowns with QC, Operations, and Client representatives
- Support compliance with inspection procedures and quality requirements
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating inspections to prevent delays
- Maintain accurate inspection records, ITRs, and quality documentation
- Support weld tracking, spool tracking, and material traceability
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained
- Maintain daily communication with QC and Operations teams
- Coordinate activities between shop, field, and quality personnel
- Provide advance notice of upcoming inspections and hold points
- Escalate quality issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support audits and client inspections as required
- Verify equipment is within calibration prior to use
- Ensure proper material storage, handling, and identification practices
- Adhere to and promote company safety policies, including Stop Work Authority
- Participate in safety meetings, job walkdowns, and hazard identification activities
- Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Three (3) years quality control related work; industrial industry preferred
- Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required depending on location
- Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards to include AWS, ASME, API, and AISC
- Ability to interpret client specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Ability to identify and respond to potential safety hazards and emergency situations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to resolve issues in the field
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in high-pressure environments
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and clients
