Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to oversee and enhance the quality processes within a manufacturing environment. This role involves managing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to ensure the highest quality standards are met. The position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and fun environment, contributing to the growth of engineers and driving organizational success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee root cause analysis to identify quality issues.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues.
• Manage and lead a team of engineers to achieve quality objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to influence decisions and improve processes.
• Facilitate the closure of corrective actions across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support sites in moving forward with guidance and necessary skill sets.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence decisions across organizational levels.
• Proven track record of building collaborative relationships with engineering teams.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor backend assembly operations.
• Formal AIAG Core Tools training or certification.
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced statistical methods.
• ISO 9001/IATF Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
• Experience in change management or organizational development in technical environments.
• Familiarity with automotive, aerospace, or medical device quality standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in Colorado and offers a hybrid work model for candidates located in Denver, with 1 to 2 days a week onsite. The team comprises 2-3 managers and a total of 14 people. The role is 100% management-focused with minimal production duties. This is a contract position with the potential to become permanent, contingent upon the candidate's auditing experience. The work environment is dynamic and supportive, fostering the development of engineers.

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Colorado Springs,CO.
