Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Job Description

Ensure that all products manufactured and services provided meet both internal and external requirements. Assist the manufacturing department in achieving compliance where possible. The role requires a high degree of autonomy and involves direct supervision of one Quality Technician in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first piece and in-process inspections of prototype and production products.
• Generate dimensional and inspection documentation, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Set up and execute CMM programs to measure machined and cast products.
• Program CMM machines.
• Understand GD&T, blueprint reading, and Customer Quality and Engineering standards.
• Utilize SPC data collection techniques.
• Email end-of-shift reports and issues identified during the shift.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, profilometers, optical comparators, and height stands.
• Employ radius, angle, pin, plug, height, bore, beam, and thread gages.
• Maintain and clean gages, including indicator exchange and verification.
• Track gages and maintain calibration records.
• Monitor SPC data to ensure process control.
• Record SPC data for the quality department.
• Perform production receiving inspections, layer checks, line inspections, final audits, and final shipping dock inspections.
• Conduct layer process audits as scheduled.
• Support compliance with Quality policies and procedures (IATF16949 & ISO14001).

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Lead role.
• Proficiency in quality inspection and assurance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Knowledge of IATF and ISO audit processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic print reading and GD&T understanding.
• Experience in variable and attribute gauging.
• Competence in visual inspection.
• Basic Excel and Word usage.
• Recordkeeping skills.
• CMM programming skills.
• Knowledge of SPC and GAGEpack.

This is a Permanent position based out of Platteville, WI.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
