Champion of Excellence: Quality Engineer
Hours: Monday - FridayPrideStaff, a national recruiting firm, has partnered with a confidential industry leader to find a methodical and highly organized Quality Engineer. This role is vital for designing and implementing a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures every product meets the highest standards of excellence.
You will be the bridge between raw materials and finished aerospace marvels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
System Ownership: Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System.
Inspection & Testing: Plan and execute rigorous testing for raw materials, in-process components, and final products.
Root Cause Investigation: Lead RCA and CAPA procedures for internal non-conformities, product complaints, and supplier issues.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and minimize operational waste.
Supplier Management: Conduct supplier audits and manage performance metrics to ensure incoming materials meet strict quality standards.
Documentation: Create detailed inspection reports, control plans, and work instructions while providing data-driven reports for management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality) or a related technical field; a Master’s is a plus.
Experience: Proven background in quality engineering, with a strong preference for Aerospace Composites experience.
Technical Skills: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Proficiency with tools like SPC, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP is essential.
Standards Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Software: Familiarity with QT9 quality software and EPICOR ERP systems is a significant advantage.
