Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

The Quality Control Technician ensures that food products meet strict quality and safety standards in a modern, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures.

Schedule: 2nd shift

Pay: $20-27.00 per hour based off skills & experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control checks on food products throughout the production process to ensure they meet established quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor production lines to verify adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality procedures.
  • Inspect materials, in-process products, and finished goods for defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.
  • Accurately document quality checks, test results, and any non-conformances in accordance with company requirements.
  • Communicate quality issues promptly to production staff and leadership to support timely corrections and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes to uphold product integrity and consistency.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines while working in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with team members across production and maintenance to help maintain machinery and production lines to high quality standards.
  • Participate in required overtime, including Saturdays, to support production and quality needs across assigned shifts.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of food quality experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with quality control in the food industry.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to perform accurate quality inspections and identify non-conforming product.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product integrity and safety.
  • Ability to maintain clear, accurate, and organized documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to work required overtime, including Saturdays, on assigned shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and documentation in a production setting.

Work Environment

This position is based in a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility focused on high-quality product output and strict adherence to food safety standards. The work involves being on the production floor, monitoring machinery and production lines, and performing quality checks in a fast-paced environment. Schedule for this position is on 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with overtime potentially post shift based off demands. Team members follow food safety, hygiene, and GMP guidelines at all times while working around production equipment and quality testing areas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
