Job Summary
Plan, organize and execute all quality control activities as per the procedure to meet the customer requirements. Communicate and coordinate with all the departments for the order execution orders. Continuously improve the process through CAR.
Primary Responsibilities
- Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered at all times.
- Provide continual evaluation of the processes and methods, to assure that most effective use of resources and equipment.
- Attend Production meeting, Inspection as per dispatch plan and ensure all inspections are completed as per the WO ageing/priority
- Ensure that the valid procedures and WI are available at work station.
- Ensure that calibrated inspection tools are available
- Leading communications and closure of Quality concerns from Global Engineering, Metallurgy
- Daily/Weekly pending NCR review, Communicate with Production/Engineering, Review & follow up RCA
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure HSE requirement communication to reports and suppliers through TBT/Risk analysis & HSE compliance is maintained
- Communicate effectively with Cross function team members
- Ensure rejection reduction, process improvements through CAR
- Ensure key participation in internal, external QMS audits.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
- Prepare Daily plan for the inspection and display on shop floor
- Verify that the inspection process is going on as per procedure.
- Attend daily production meeting.
- Ensure that all inspections are completed as per the WO and reports are scanned and forwarded.
- Ensure that required SOP, On job trainings are imparted to quality inspectors, Specialists
- Review pending and rework Work orders, Receiving ageing, NCR ageing ,and CAR
- Adherence to timeline for NCR, CAR, Receiving, WIP workorder closure
- Collect and analyze the monthly cost of Quality data.
- Review and improve Inspection methods & Inspection instruments to reduce inspection time & ease of inspection.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Control
- Must be proficient with computer skills, ERP usage
- Must have knowledge of all measuring instruments.
- Strong communication in English.
- Strong knowledge of NDE / ASTM / ISO / API requirements.
