Quality Control Inspector

A leading aerospace and test systems manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (S3) to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections. This role focuses on ensuring materials and products conform to internal procedures, customer requirements, and industry and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on inspection experience in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment and is comfortable working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on materials, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers to verify conformance
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements in accordance with ASME Y14.5
  • Document inspection results accurately in ERP systems, routers, and quality records
  • Initiate and document Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) when discrepancies are identified
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Project Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues
  • Communicate supplier quality concerns and delivery discrepancies to buyers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support audits, customer interactions, and regulatory requirements as needed


Required Skills

  • 3+ years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and reporting nonconformances
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems for documentation and reporting


Compensation:

$25/hr to $26/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
