UESI is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead, maintain, and continuously enhance our 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program in support of critical nuclear and industrial projects. This is a high‑impact leadership role for a quality professional who values independence, accountability, and the authority to uphold the highest safety and quality standards.


In this role, you will ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory, contractual, and company requirements while operating independently from production activities. You will hold stop‑work authority, serve as UESI’s primary QA representative to clients, auditors, and executive leadership, and play a key role in protecting the integrity of our work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and continually improve UESI’s Quality Assurance (QA) Program
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory, contractual, and applicable industry standards
  • Review purchase orders and contracts to identify and implement QA requirements
  • Exercise stop‑work authority when necessary to protect quality and safety
  • Plan, conduct, and lead internal, vendor, and client audits
  • Manage vendor qualification processes and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
  • Represent UESI during external audits, surveillances, and QA oversight activities
  • Oversee training, qualification, and certification of QA personnel
  • Ensure proper inspection, testing, documentation, and record‑keeping practices
  • Manage corrective action programs, including NCRs, root‑cause analysis, and trend evaluation
  • Maintain QA documentation, records, and audit schedules


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience; QC experience in nuclear or other highly regulated environments considered
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and reporting audits
  • Proven ability to manage and sustain formal QA programs
  • Working knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ANSI/ASME NQA‑1, and 10 CFR Part 21
  • Experience with nuclear or industrial coatings systems
  • NQA‑1 Lead Auditor certification required
  • ASQ certification (CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE, or similar) preferred
