If you love science, problem-solving, and making sure everything that leaves the building is top-notch, this might be the job for you!General Description of DutiesSupervises the testing of raw material and in-process and finished product to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for development of techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing raw materials and company products and assisting with preparation of specifications and other technical documents. Responsible for conducting research on product defects in order to recommend modifications of product formulations and/or quality standards on the basis of this research. Assists with HACCP tasks. Assists with the investigation and response to customer complaints. Provide Safe Quality Food (SQF) program support in the absence of the Quality Control (QC) Manager or as needed. This position also serves as a backup to the QC Manager. Manages assigned laboratory personnel’s work schedules as well as specific work assignments. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
