QC Lab Manager / R&D

Our client is seeking a QC R&D Lab Manager who will be responsible for leading and overseeing day-to-day operations of a research and development laboratory. This role willl provide technical and managerial leadership to ensure high-quality analytical development, method validation, and laboratory compliance.

Please note: For confidentiality purposes, this position is not located in Blue Bell. The role is based in the tri-state area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of scientists and analysts within the R&D laboratory, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for chromatographic and analytical techniques including LC, GC, and Dissolution.
• Ensure accurate and compliant use of Empower software for data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage laboratory projects to meet development timelines and business goals.
• Review, approve, and author technical documentation including protocols, validation reports, SOPs, and development reports.
• Ensure laboratory operations comply with applicable GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, materials, budgets, and external vendors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience
• Hands on expertise in LC, GC, Dissolution, and chromatographic method development and validation.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience
• Proven ability to lead and mentor senior-level scientists and analysts.
