We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care to diverse patient populations in need of inpatient mental health services. Precise Behavioral (Precise) was established to revolutionize the behavioral healthcare ecosystem for patients, providers, and health plans. Precise is a physician-owned and led organization that enables a mix of digital, telehealth, in-person, and community resources for improved patient outcomes.


Scope of job: To provide onsite adult mental health services for patients in an inpatient setting. Includes evaluation of mental health patients, working with a hospital, and Precise Behavioral staff.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients across inpatient settings.
  • Provide psychiatric consultations to any department in the Hospital (acute care and sub-acute care) requesting such a consultation.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy and other behavioral health interventions.
  • Manage medication regimens responsibly while monitoring patient progress and side effects in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Provide crisis management support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, document intake assessments, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries following best practices in medical terminology and data collection.


Requirements:

  • MD/DO - Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of residency training in psychiatry
  • Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in California
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Active CA DEA
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders
  • Minimum 2 years of current inpatient experience in an acute care setting
