About the Role:

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to provide onsite psychiatric care to veterans at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and its affiliated clinics in Houston, TX. This position plays a crucial role in supporting a high-demand federal mental health program, delivering consistent and high-quality psychiatric services in accordance with American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) standards.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Setting: Onsite at VA Medical Center & CBOCs
• Contract: 1-year base, renewable up to 5 years
• Malpractice Coverage: Provided
• Relocation/Travel: Not provided; must reside within 90 miles of Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment to veteran patients
• Manage medications and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with VA clinical teams
• Document patient care within electronic health records
• Ensure ongoing compliance with VA standards and policies

Candidate Qualifications:

• MD or DO in Psychiatry
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPN)
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
• DEA license and NPI number (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to provide three professional references
