Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

R.A. Walton & Company is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. We deliver design-build, retrofit, and service solutions with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and long-term client relationships.
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead projects from turnover through completion—ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, budget, schedule, and oversee projects to meet deadlines and profit targets
- Define scope, resources, and deliverables
- Manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment procurement
- Track project progress, costs, and schedules
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams
- Review contracts, bids, and change orders
- Identify risks and resolve project challenges proactively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain accurate documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.)
- Coordinate with estimating, accounting, and operations teams
- Complete project closeout and evaluate performance
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in construction project management
- Mechanical contracting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s or technical degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- PMP certification is a plus

Work Environment
This role includes a mix of office and field work (approximately 50/50). Field work requires mobility on active job sites and use of appropriate PPE.
