This role focuses on leading large-scale engineering projects while ensuring successful delivery, technical excellence, and strong client relationships. You will serve as a senior Project Manager, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, managing project performance, and driving business development efforts while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
The position spans the full project lifecycle—from proposal development and planning to execution, quality control, financial management, and client engagement. You will collaborate closely with leadership, engineering teams, clients, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Manager for large and complex engineering projects across multiple disciplines
Supervise and manage assigned engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff
Conduct peer reviews, technical oversight, and quality control of engineering design deliverables
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Adjust staffing and resource allocation as needed to meet deadlines and project requirements
Organize and lead internal and external client meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-through on action items
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders throughout project execution
Collaborate with senior leadership on RFP responses, proposal development, cost estimation, and contract preparation
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals
Oversee project accounting activities including setup, invoicing, and accounts receivable in compliance with company standards
Participate in business development initiatives, trade events, and marketing activities to promote company services
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements across all projects
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in mechanical or electrical engineering design and project management
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Strong experience in power, commercial, healthcare, or life sciences engineering projects
Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and national codes and standards
Working knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering including mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, civil, and architectural systems
Experience with energy efficiency and sustainable design practices
Knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, trades, and OSHA regulations
Extensive experience managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
