MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented PROJECT MANAGER to join our team at Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) in STAFFORD, VA. 

This position will utilize project management skills and experience to assist MCWL S&T research new technologies and their maturity levels for experimentation or delivery to Marine Corps units. Specific technologies may also be related to configurations of semi-permanent and deployable ICD 705 structures designed to be SCIF/SAPFs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with MCWL S&T to research, track, and coordinate “next generation” and emerging capabilities at various Technology Readiness (TR) Levels to support prototyping and experimentation of semi-permanent and deployable structures capable of ICD 705 related accreditations.
  • Provide special system subject matter expertise and mentorship to MCWL S&T and support personnel relating to existing and emerging technologies and programs.
  • Facilitate experimentation and/or deliveries of these “next generation” and emerging capabilities to candidate Marine Corps units and track performance to inform Marine Corps, other service, and Joint requirements for future system/capability fielding.
  • Foster collaborative and high-performing project environments across multiple geographically dispersed locations and culturally diverse CONUS and OCONUS teams through clear communication between MCWL, stakeholders, receiving units, industry partners, and other government supporting organizations.  
  • Implement and maintain consistent project management processes and procedures, ensuring an organized and documented approach to achieve goals and objectives with allocated funding.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 15 years’ experience planning and/or operating in project management environments including Special Access Required (SAR) development efforts.
  • Experience with senior staff coordination.
  • Experience with project management frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Defense Acquisition expertise in Project/Program Management
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Project, MS Excel

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain construction security oversight in outdoor environment; walk (with personal protective equipment) to inspect and document delivery of components and assembly/construction of structure.
