Position Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The Project Manager will oversee and manage the entire life cycle of storage tank projects from design conception through construction completion. The Project Manager will ensure timelines, budget and client requirements are met throughout the project life cycle. The Project Manager partners across the Tate engineering, drafting and sales teams, which are highly collaborative and supportive – aligned in our collective purpose and focused on results and growth for the company and for each other.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate intra-company project activities including drafting, purchasing, shop-fabrication, field-erection, as well as subcontract management, contract changes and ongoing customer service/communications functions during each project.
  • Lead project plans, defining project goals, creating detailed work plans, scheduling milestones, and determining resource requirements.
  • Oversee execution and monitoring of projects, manage costs/budgets, and keep projects within scope.
  • Identify, review, and mitigate risks to prevent delays or budget overruns.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials and equipment for projects are available and arrive on time.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for clients, vendors, and team members; provide regular status updates.
  • Lead meetings such as monthly project reviews and progress meetings.
  • Ensure final deliverables meet stakeholder requirements and quality standards.
  • Provide reports and analysis to project team(s) to communicate overall project status and profitability.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure teamwork to achieve goals and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel may be required to key accounts or customer sites.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience with proven track record in industrial manufacturing or heavy construction industries required


Education and Certification Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Proficient in project management software.
