Job Description:
The Operations Project Manager (OPM) oversees all Operations efforts related to contract execution and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. The OPM acts as the point of contact between Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. They ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the procurement, build, and test of complex electronic systems. A successful candidate should be able to:

Essential Functions:
• Owns overall project execution for manufacturing-related programs from kickoff through closure
• Understanding of production budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) to analyze, manage, and report on budget performance, including variance analysis, cost and schedule efficiency (CPI/SPI), forecasting (EAC/ETC), and stakeholder communication
• Accurately estimate sales forecasts for labor, material and point in time revenue
• Develops and maintains the integrated project plan, schedule, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate with Master Schedulers and Master Planners to develop baseline production plans
• Ensures alignment between project priorities and factory execution plans
• Identify and coordinate resources necessary for production efforts
• Coordinates cross-functional execution across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program teams
• Drives issue resolutions for production constraints affecting cost, schedule, or delivery
• Provides management reporting on cost, schedule, risks, performance, and recovery actions
• Acts as the primary operations focal point for large project execution and factory coordination
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of project management.
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Related experience in manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environments
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring
• Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations
• Experience coordinating across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Program teams
• Experience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
