Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Manager leads and coordinates all aspects of commercial construction projects and is accountable for overall project success. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams while ensuring accurate financial tracking, thorough documentation, and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager provides direction and support to the entire project team, with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and regulatory compliance on a safety-sensitive job site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of commercial construction projects from planning and preconstruction through execution, closeout, and final documentation.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to support project success and drive repeat business.
  • Oversee and communicate accurate financial details for each project, including budgeting, cost tracking, profitability reporting, and change management.
  • Prepare, review, and manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, approvals, and integration into project budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including construction documents, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Use project management tools such as MS Project and Procore to manage schedules, documentation, and project communication.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, coordinate jobsite activities, and ensure that work progresses according to plan and meets milestones.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, oversee subcontracts, and review and approve invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and manage project risks proactively, anticipating issues and implementing effective solutions with project teams and leadership.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and EPA standards, on a safety-sensitive job site.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication to all stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, decisions, changes, and potential impacts.
  • Lead and support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, billing, and completion of all required closeout documentation.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive Culture of Care, mentoring team members and supporting continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills by managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining responsive communication.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in construction project management within commercial construction environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Strong bkgd in construction management, including schedule development, jobsite coordination, procurement, and subcontract oversight.
  • Hands-on experience with change orders, including preparation, pricing, documentation, and approvals.
  • Proficiency with construction documents and document control practices.
  • Experience with financial oversight of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, profitability reporting, and change management.
  • Ability to use project management software such as MS Project for schedule development and tracking.
  • Proficiency with construction management platforms such as Procore for documentation, communication, and project coordination.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly inform stakeholders and document decisions.
  • Organized and process-driven approach with strong time management and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify project risks and implement effective solutions.
  • Commitment to safety and quality control, including working within OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, billing, and final documentation.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily on active construction job sites and in office or trailer settings. The position is safety sensitive and requires consistent attention to safe work practices and adherence to OSHA and EPA standards. You will regularly communicate with team members, clients, and partners and will alternate between sitting at a desk for planning and documentation and standing or walking on job sites. The role involves climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, traversing uneven walking and working surfaces, and occasionally lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 25 pounds. Personal protective equipment is required as necessary on site. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
