A growing heavy civil construction contractor is hiring a Project Manager to bring structure, systems, and consistency to a lean, field‑driven operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, practical problem‑solving, and working directly with ownership in a small leadership team.

What You’ll Do

• Implement and standardize project management software, systems, and processes
• Manage pre‑construction handoff, contracts, project setup, and schedule
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices and prepare owner billings
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Coordinate with field leadership and visit job sites regularly

What We’re Looking For

• Background in civil / horizontal construction (utilities, retainer walls, bridges, tunnels, paving, earthwork, drainage, concrete, highway, etc.)
• Experience level flexible (approx. 3–15 years)
• Comfortable implementing and working within new software systems
• Strong organization and follow‑through in a low‑support environment
• Clear, professional communication skills

Work Style

• Remote‑based with a dedicated home office
• Regular in‑field time visiting job sites and meetings
• High autonomy, flexible structure, and accountability for results

Requirements

• Local to the Dallas–Fort Worth area
• Must have experience with civil software such as HCSS, Vitruvi, Procore, or something similar. Be well versed and ready to implement and use.
